What You Need To Know
Location: Lake Merrit Dance Center, 200 Grand Ave in Oakland
Parking: free parking lot at the venue
Cost with lesson: $50/$60 prereg (5.5 hours of class and Fri+Sat dances)
Cost without lesson: $8 for dance, including both waltz and blues
No partner needed, all ages welcome
Workshop level is intermediate
Wear comfortable shoes (if you wear heels, bring another pair)

In the past
Blues in Berkeley was a weekly venue that ran on Tuesday nights from October to December 2006. East Bay Blues was a non-Beyond Blues venue that lasted a short while also.

Now What?
We have an opportunity to have a monthly blues room as part of "Friday Night Waltz on Saturday" at the Lake Merrit Dance Center. This is also a great opportunity to spread the word about blues dancing to the ballroom crowd.

Also, there are rumblings about re-opening a weekly East Bay venue. Please contact Mihai if you are interested in helping out.
