FAQ PageQ: What is the age range at Friday Night Blues or R.A. Blues? Will I feel welcome if I am not in my twenties? A: Our attendees range between 17 and 65, with a higher concentration from the mid-20s to low-40s. We have a very inclusive community, and lots of people will dance with you regardless of your age. As a side note, house blues parties are generally a very different story, with a much younger crowd. This is one of the reasons why Friday Night Blues was started in the first place. Q: What exactly is blues dancing? A: Some people are frustrated by the perceived lack of definition. Others refuse to pigeon-hole blues dancing to a strict description. Most people will agree that blues is an improvisation and musicality-focused dance with West African roots.
