The organizer (Beyond Blues / Mihai) agrees to...
- Select participants based on how much they can contribute to either the group itself or to their local or national dance community.
- Find an appropriate space for 10-14 people to dance and live in "exchange comfort."
- Coordinate logistics: travel, rides, allergies, etc.
- Provide enough structure for smooth operation and enough flexibility for maximum enjoyment and fun.
- Create enough opportunities for everyone who is qualified and interested to participate in at least one retreat by the end of 2007.
- Respect the privacy of retreat participants.

Each participant agrees to...
- Be there for the entire time, all three or four days. This is crucial. We've had people coming in and out before, and it was less than ideal. Please plan on being there the full 3-4 days or not at all.
- Be sensitive to the needs of the community in which the retreat is held. Specifically, when going dancing in public, spend a good amount of time dancing with other people.
- Be 100% present! No beepers or ringing cell phones during classes or scheduled discussion times, no friends visiting during retreat time, etc.
- Be friendly, put aside prejudices and seek to resolve conflict in a positive way.
- Develop deep friendships is great, but also be aware and help everyone feel included.
- Be extremely open to giving and receiving dancing feedback, even (in fact, especially) when someone's ego is at risk.
- Be on time for the retreat and for the schedule.
- Allow their name to be used on http://beyondblues.com/retreat in order to promote the idea of the retreat.
- Allow the organizer to let the community know that they are coming to town for the purpose of the retreat.
- Respect other agreements that retreat participants reach during the retreat.
