Tuesdays (March 9/16/23/30) in Berkeley, 2560 9th Street

7:30-8:30pm: Level 1a Blues (Close Embrace) with Ted and Ruth (Register now!)
Topics covered will include connection, musicality, body flight and swing, drive, body alignments (natural, counter, and contra), pivots, turn technique, embrace, frame changes, and blues vocabulary, for close embrace.

Wednesday (March 10/17/24/31) in San Francisco, 1072A Folsom Street

7-8pm: Level 1b Blues (Open Embrace) with Ted and Ruth (Register now!)
Topics covered will include connection, musicality, body flight and swing, drive, body alignments (natural, counter, and contra), pivots, turn technique, embrace, frame changes, and blues vocabulary, for open embrace.

8-9pm: Level 2b Blues Walking Variations with Ted and Ruth (Register now!)
Vocabulary and applied technique with rhythm variations, syncopations, skips, lunges, and easy lifts and dips. Prerequisite: 1a and 1b or equivalent experience.

9-10pm: Level 3a Blues Connection Lab with Ted and Ruth (Register now!)
This is a practical class where the student will use simple vocabulary to isolate and refine subtle lead/follow connection. Prerequisite: 80% mastery of L1 topics and any two level 2 classes, or equivalent experience.

Friday (March 12/19/26, April/2) in San Francisco, 19 Heron Street

7-8pm: Level 2c Blues Turn Variations with Ted and Ariel (Register now!)
Vocabulary and applied technique with inside and outside turns, pop turns, redirection, and free spins. Prerequisite: 1a and 1b (ability to do travelling turns a must) or equivalent experience.

8-9pm: Level 1a Blues (Close Embrace) with Ted and Ariel (Register now!)
Topics covered will include connection, musicality, body flight and swing, drive, body alignments (natural, counter, and contra), pivots, turn technique, embrace, frame changes, and blues vocabulary, for close embrace.
